Frequently Asked Questions

Escape games are movie-like scenarios where you can step into a role in real life and solve puzzles (sometimes physically), riddles, and brain teasers in order escape the game.

No, minimum, just a maximum of 10 for our escape games, and 12 for the Masquerade.

All ages are welcome, everyone will have fun but any group under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

We ask that our guests do not take photos or videos (although you’ll want to!) to ensure future guests will be as surprised as you were.

We would like guests to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled game so that we can ensure they receive their full hour in our game. We have to follow a strict schedule to accommodate all groups

Yes! We have gift options and if for some reason you cannot join us we can transfer your ticket to a friend if you call to verify this with us.

Tickets cannot be refunded however we can work with you on changing the game date if something came up, just call in or stop in and we’ll take care of it.

You don’t need anything except some friends!

We prefer you do reserve games using our online booking ahead of time. This ensures you will have the game and time that you want. We accept walk-ins, but this depends on availability. We will serve customers on a first come, first serve basis.

Yes, but there is a button you can push for the door to open at any time. And your game host is able to help with any problems.

Absolutely! We love birthdays and you’ll love a Countdown Games birthday. We have plenty of space for your group to hang out before and after your game for free. We are pretty flexible on how we can accommodate your party, so just call in and we can work it out.

Yes. These are used by our hosts to monitor your progress and assist you if necessary.

By default the empty spots are left open for other people to book (this is necessary for friends that want to pay separately). If you want your game to be private, just call in and we can block off the empty spots to make sure no one else joins your game.

If you have a group of 5 or more, then we can make the game private for free. Otherwise you need to pay for the equivalent of 5 people in order to make the room private. So for example; if you have a group of 4 people, you can buy one more spot to make the game private.

We accept all major credit cards when booking online or on site and we accept cash or checks in person.

Our games are designed around an internal philosophy called ‘honest puzzles’. Some so-called escape games places make you fiddle with 15 locks and keys, there’s no flow and you come away wondering “how could anyone figure that out without help?” But our games are more like experiences that are built for wow-factor, not to be impossible.

None of our games are intended to be scary. If you have any particular phobias that you are concerned about then you can call in to ask, but there is no reason for most people to be scared in either of these two games. They can get your adrenaline racing though!

You will! Our hosts are trained to assist you without giving too much away. We want guests to have a great time, so games will be monitored to ensure no one gets frustrated or annoyed.
